The Leica CaMera

John Robert Young has used the Leica camera, both rangefinder and single lens reflex (SLR) for the past fifty years. He purchased his first Leica in Jerusalem - a model 1 with a  fixed 50mm 2.5 Hektor lens. A small Leitz rangefinder which fitted on the shoe of the camera came with the camera.

When his equipment was stolen while on an assignment in Spain, his friends at Leica UK rushed to his assistance with replacement cameras and lenses so that he could continue working.

During the late eighties John Robert Young became the recognisable face of the Leica camera in a national advertising campaign.

The international journal Leica Fotografie has published his work under the title 'Master of the Leica'.
